The 28-room privately-owned property is a stunningly beautiful wedding destination located on the idyllic Moganshan Mountain and is ideally-sized for private wedding parties. Nowhere else in the world can guests experiencearush ofthe senses from nature that include the smell of fresh tea leaves in the air, birdsong from across the pine forest, and the iconic look of lush serene bamboo covering the mountain-side – making outdoor wedding ceremonies a jaw-dropping proposition.

Wedding ceremonies and dinners can be experiencedboth inside and out, with the most stunning backdropin the garden of Le Passage Mohkan Shan,over-looking the working tea plantation and outdoor pool. Central to this is the Antique Rose Garden, nestled in and among the tea plantation, that features 12,000 different bushes representing a wonderfully diverse selection of over 20 varieties from May to November. The splashes of corals, pinks, and reds form a breathtaking backdrop forwedding photo-shoots, as well as providing freshly picked flowers that make each wedding awash with color and the smell of fresh rose perfume.

Following a wedding ceremony or aperitif in the garden, guests can head to the elegantly-appointed Oriental Banquet Room, a new sophisticated ballroom that harks back to the style of old grand European country houses. The room has been designed specifically for weddings, and can be set up in a round or long-table setup at the request of the guests.

Chef Jackie Meng and his team have created a series of French-inspired Western,and now Chinese menus for wedding banquets. For a French feast, guests can enjoy different menus from three to four courses that include appetizers like Pressed Foie Gras & Confit Bresse Chicken Terrine; and Salad of Asparagus, Scottish Salmon & New Potatoes with Grain Mustard Dressing. The Intermediate course can include dishes such asPoached Scottish Lobster with Baby Vegetables & Therminor Sauce; and Steamed Dover Sole, Lobster Bisque, Spaghetti Vegetable and Cucumber.

Highlighted mains from the French wedding dinner options include Roast Sirloin of Beef; and Lamb Shank with Pave Dauphinoise Potatoes, Spinach & Song Rong Mushroom. While desserts include French Style Chocolate Éclair with Home Made Ice Cream; and Warm Chocolate Fondont with Vanilla Ice Cream. The Le Passage culinary team also craft their own single, double and triple layer wedding cakes custom-made to guests’ needs.

For a Chinese-style wedding for up to 120 guests, dishes include the likes of Baked Lobster with Butter in Supreme Soup; Steamed Abalone with Soya Sauce; Sautéed Cuttle Fish and Scallop with X.O. Sauce; Braised Sea Cucumber with Mushroom in Abalone Sauce; and Steamed Sliced Abalone with Bamboo Shoot and Mushroom in Oyster Sauce.

Away from the Oriental Banquet Room and Antique Rose Garden, Le Passage Mohkan Shan has a huge variety of creative dining opportunities dotted throughout the property. For private dining catering,to small weddings, pre-wedding family dinners or honeymoons, Le Passage’s culinary team create dining experiences in a number of locations.

The picturesque two Pool Pavilions offer private dining for up to eight or 20 people and are in a perfect location for close family dinners on the night before the big day. The property’s very own French Cooking School is used as a Chef’s Table for 10 guests,  The underground authentic Wine Cellar Dining Room offers a truly unique dining experience for up to 40 people on a long-table carved from a single piece of wood.

Le Passage Mohkan Shan’s Fine Dining Restaurant offers a refined and sophisticated environment each evening withcuisine inspired by that found in French country house restaurants. The Pool Restaurant serves rustic country cuisine throughout the day, including breakfast, and has a wooden patio that stretches out to kiss the outdoor swimming pool. In the spring and summer months, guests can dine outside on the wooden patio in the garden overlooking the pool, or take drinks at the Pool Bar. While in theevening, classic cocktails are available in the Lounge Bar and Fireside Salon.

The authentic Wine Cellar itself has a private table for up to 12 guests and hostsa large selection of natural French wines, bought almost exclusively from small organic vineyards that use the principles of bio-dynamic wine-making, using little or no additives, sulfite or chemicals. Le Passage Mohkan Shan’s own pear brandy creation – Poire Pauline, distilled on site with no artificial additives, can also be found in the cellar.

+ Booking of the entire hotel for private weddings is available from RMB 98,000 for one night or RMB 158,000 for two nights and is subject to availability not including food & beverage costs
+ All prices are subject to 15 percent service charge
