Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) is participating in the MITM Travel Fair KL 2013 from 4 to 6 October. The event will be taking place at Level 3, Mid Valley Exhibition Centre (MVEC).

MGTO’s theme for the fair is “Touching Moments Experience Macau” and is showcasing Macau’s unique blend of Eastern and Western culture, which is a unique holiday destination for families, couples and groups of friends. MGTO continues working closely with Amigo Macau (Friends of Macau) to further promote Macau as a top of mind holiday destination.

MGTO continues to show its support to MITM Travel Fair KL 2013 by sponsoring 3-Day 2-Night Macau Holiday Package for winner of the Buyers’ Contest of the fair. Visitors who purchase any Macau and Pearl River Delta tour packages, with at least one night stay in Macau are entitled to have a Lucky Draw redemption at Macau Booth.

The 60th Macau Grand Prix
There is no other event ever so legendary, so unique and so adored that motorsport enthusiasts will flock into Macau from all around the world this November, to witness and celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Macau Grand Prix. The six days of racing, spanning two weekends, will be at the heart of the city-wide celebrations, which will bring together stars from the worlds of motorsport and entertainment with visitors and the community for a fortnight of non-stop revelry across the length and breadth of Macau.

“Star River • Windsor Arch” will be celebrating the diamond jubilee of grand prix with Macau, with “Star River • Windsor Arch” as the title sponsorship of the event, together with three other prestigious headline races, namely The FIA Formula 3 Intercontinental Cup, the Star River • Windsor Arch Formula 3 Macau Grand Prix; The Star River • Windsor Arch Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix – 47th Edition, the world-famous two-wheeled thriller; and the FIA World Touring Car Championship – Guia Race of Macau – Presented by Star River • Windsor Arch, the grand finale of the 2013 season.

This year, the official Safety Car will be the Bentley Continental GT, with the Bentley Flying Spur as the Official Car, while the Rescue Vehicles will be Raffles Passat Variant V6s.

This event will fall on two weekends; 9 – 10 November and 14 – 17 November 2013. The famous Guia Circuit, almost unchanged in six decades, will play host to an enviable line-up of prestigious motorsport events, with household names joining the stars of fortune in a dazzling collection of sophisticated, cutting edge racing machinery.

Tap Seac Square and Friendship Square will be the venues for the road car and supercar shows, while motorcycle shows will be held from November 8 to 10, as part of two weeks of special events. A parade of vintage cars is also being planned, and these classic cars will be on display from November 9 to 17 at the exhibition hall of the Venetian with free entry for the public.

Macau Grand Prix Museum
Located in the Tourism Activities Centre, opened in 1993, Macau Grand Prix Museum is home to a fascinating collection of cars, motorcycles, memorabilia and displays which chronicle its six-decade history. The museum also includes a number of interactive and entertaining activities for visitors.
