Selangor Darul Ehsan – April 5, 2013 - Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) launched the ‘Macau Festival’ today at the Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall. Organised once every 2 years to promote Macau major events and festivals, it is being held from 5th to 7th April at two concourses, the Blue and the Orange.
The event was officiated by Ms Cora Vong, Head of Marketing Division of MGTO and Tunku Dato’ Seri Iskandar Tunku Abdullah, MGTO Representative in Malaysia. Among the invited guest were media friends, airlines partner and travel trade partners in Malaysia.

‘This year, Macau is celebrating the 25th International Fireworks Display Contest (14th,19th,21st,28th September and 1st October 2013) and the 60th Diamond Jubilee Celebration of Macau Grand Prix to be held on 9th -10th November and the second race on 14th – 17th November 2013.

Apart from the major festivals, this consumer event also aims to promote Macau destination’s attractions, unique cuisines, culture and entertainment and at the same time provides an opportunity for visitor to experience Macau through the festival.

To further highlight Macau destination, a variety of entertainment, activities, food sampling, grand prix racing contest and games for all with various attractive prizes to be won including 3D/2N Macau holiday packages. Another on-going activity is the ‘My Best Photo’ contest held at the Blue concourse with free instant photo shots to be given away, the best photo will win a prize.

At the same time, there will be lucky draw up for grabs with minimum purchase of RM50 and above together with participating outlets at Sunway Pyramid throughout the duration of the festival.

Along with the festival, there will also be special “3-days-only” sales promotion on special airfare rates, free and easy tour packages. Consumers who purchase any holiday packages are entitled for daily lucky draw prizes sponsored by participating airlines and travel trade industry partners.
