Exceptional Skeleton Watches
Offered at January Antiquorum Auction

Contemporary skeleton watches (in which the movement is visible through either the front or back of the watch) are experiencing a resurgence with the increasing popularity of intricate mechanical watches. Similarly, vintage skeleton watches, at the height of popularity in the 1970s, are again capturing the interest of collectors with fine examples appearing at auction. On January 26, Antiquorum Hong Kong is pleased to present skeleton watches from an impressive number of brands, including, Vacheron Constantin, Patek Philippe, Antonie Preziuso, Roger Dubuis, Blancpain and Audemars Piguet.

Not only do these masterful pieces exhibit the fine craftsmanship and beauty of master engravers and designers, but also the complexity that is the mechanical watch for all to admire.

“Collectors’ interests in vintage skeletonized watches have been steadily increasing, especially as brands are introducing modern versions,” said Genki Sakamoto, Watch Expert at Antiquorum Tokyo. “This is a very impressive collection of vintage skeletonized watches up for auction, with many brands represented."
