THE 12TH ANNIVERSARY PARTY OF BRANDING ASSOCIATION OF MALAYSIA WAS HELD AT THE GRAND BALLROOM OF ROYALE CHULAN HOTEL IN KUALA LUMPUR ON 15 JANUARY 2013 TO GREAT APLOMB.

Around 500 guests attended the lavish affair headed by VIP Dato Mah Siew Keong, chairman of Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and a host of dignitaries, VIPS and game changers like Dato Seri Wong Chun Wai, executive director of The Star and Star Publications, Dato Nancy Yeoh, president of STYLO International, Dato AK Nathan and many others.

Said Dato Mah Siew Keong, "Speaking after Dato Eric Chong is like an anti-climax as he speaks so well and even better in Mandarin. I thank BAM for helping SMEs in achieving success locally and globally. Building a brand is  corporate strategic issue, not a short term tactical activity.

"The challenge facing young dynamic Malaysian companies is to build powerful global brands that deliver long term success both for company and nation.

"The Branding Association of Malaysia has been complementing the Government's efforts in achieving success in their branding and global market penetration by bringing out their potential as valuable brands.

"It is heartening to note a major objective pf BAM is to achieve 1,000 members, of which 100 are to be internationally acclaimed international brands by 2020."
